The utility profile offers protection from grass and other debris from wrapping around the back of the motor where the prop is. This ultimately helps protect the motor by helping to prevent debris from damaging the shaft bearings. You should still frequently remove the motor prop and check for debris. This utility profile does not stop debris from entering it just cuts down on the amount that can and will wrap around the propeller shaft.
